Super Bowl 46 at Cork's

This week, we can fight winter doldrums by telling ourselves we're cresting over the hump with the arrival of the Super Bowl. Super Bowl 46 is this Sunday, February 5, in Indianapolis. Kick-off is at 5:30 CST, so whether you want to watch the game or just the commercials, we'll have it on front and center!

We personally think that you should make a day of it, and take advantage of our Sunday specials all day long! We've got our fabulous brunch service until 2pm every Sunday, so you can get your fill of our delicious breakfast favorites. We'll also be sporting the Build Your Own Bloody Mary Bar until 4pm, where you can create your own ultimate concoction for just $5 a pop.

That'll bring you pretty close to kick-off, and you'll probably be a little hungry again, so we suggest trying something from our new menu. Once you've decided and enjoyed your meal, and maybe dessert, you can snag a good vantage point, order a pint, and cheer on your favorite team!

We'll also have some freebies and giveaways (including Swarm tickets!) thrown in for good measure during the festivities.

See you Sunday!

Taken by Swarm

Once again, Cork's is being taken by swarm, as we partner up with our favorite NLL (National Lacrosse League) team, the Minnesota Swarm.

You'll need to stay tuned all season long as we cheer on the Swarm both on and off the field. We'll be participating in a number of events in conjunction with the team, such as:
  • Viewing parties for all away games and the All-Star game, where attendees will receive Happy Hour prices for the duration of the game,
  • A guest bartender appearance in March,
  • Specials for season ticket holders, like an exclusive brunch on February 12th,  Happy Hour prices  when they show their tickets before home games, and 25% off at any time with their Goal Cards.
So, get ready to get in on all the action! The first home game is tomorrow, the 28th, against the Buffalo Bandits. Then, join us  for some away game viewing party action on February 4th (6:30pm) and 24th (10pm).  Happy Hour prices valid all game long for those!

Let's go Swarm! Here's to a great season!

Wine & Music Lover Thursdays are BACK!

After a brief hiatus for the Thursday night NFL games, Wine & Music Lover Thursdays are back this week!

Each Thursday, Cork's will host a local music talent and offer 50% off any of our great bottles of wine! Best of all, there's no cover charge and we validate parking with any purchase. (Who else downtown can say that?!) Music starts at 7pm, so you have plenty of time to grab dinner first.

This week, we're hosting Dan Israel on Thursday, January 19, for our inaugural 2012 Wine & Music Lover Thursday. Dan's on at 7, so come on down, grab a seat, and score a bottle of wine (half off)!

Then, the line up for the next few weekends includes:

The Teddy Holidays, who are a pub favorite, play every fourth Thursday. On the Thursdays they play, we offer all Crispin Hard Ciders and Crispin Hard Cider drinks for just $3.

Locklin Road, another pub favorite, is a celtic, folk, and original music trio.

This week (or next week, or the week after that), join us for the return of Wine & Music Lover Thursdays! S'lainte!

Red Bull Crashed Ice 2012

This weekend, St. Paul is being invaded by the Red Bull Crashed Ice World Championship 2012. Cork's has heard from friends and fans alike that this FREE spectator event promises to deliver.

Red Bull Crashed Ice.jpg

Dubbed ice cross, this extreme sport essentially combines downhill skiing with speedskating and boardercross, taking place on a gigantic downhill obstacle course made of sheer ice. Athletes on ice skates, who won their spots at a tryout session, skate down the icy course in a race to the finish.

For more information, please visit the Red Bull Crashed Ice Website for the St. Paul event

Gates open at 4pm on Saturday, January 14, and the first race begins at 7pm. Hopefully these balmy temps we've been having don't hold up the show; otherwise, we'll see you all there!
